Testimonials

Just a brief note to say how delighted I am with the Melanie (9.6 sqm) Log Cabin I bought from you. Your service and price were superb and Greg and Craig came at 9am on Tuesday and worked right through until 8pm to build it.

They did an excellent job and did not stop all day. Greg advised that I should paint the door and windows a different colour as otherwise the green painted log cabin would be ‘lost’ in the garden and I took their advice. I used two different colours of Butinox No. 3 and the result is absolutely incredible. Many thanks once again. One hugely satisfied customer.

The delivery lorry arrived about eleven o’clock and the driver duly unloaded two very large packages. At eleven thirty my neighbour and I began to investigate these well protected packages.

Just after three o’clock that afternoon, two self satisfied men were enjoying a well deserved beverage whilst admiring the 4.5 by 3.5 meter cabin which was now completed up to roof purling level.

The construction of the cabin was so logical and easy, just like assembling ‘Lego blocks’ only heavier.

We absolutely love our Summer House – we can seat 16 people inside it, it stays warm long after the sun has gone down and it is particularly special as we run a B&B, so we can escape into it, invite all our friends to parties in it and now, we have installed electricity so can have lighting, heat and music as and when needed. It also provides a really big area to store all our garden furniture during the winter months.

We would absolutely recommend you to anyone considering buying one. Many thanks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What sizes are available?

Palmako garden offices come in a variety of sizes to suit different needs. Whether you need a compact garden office pod for a small garden or a spacious outdoor office for multiple people, our range includes options from under 10 m² to over 20 m². Each model provides ample internal space, ideal for creating a quiet area to work or run your own business from home.

What materials are used in Palmako garden offices?

Our premium log cabin-style garden rooms are crafted from high-quality Nordic spruce timber, known for its durability, insulation properties, and natural beauty. The wood is FSC®-certified, ensuring sustainability and eco-friendliness.

Do Palmako garden offices come insulated?

Palmako garden office buildings are designed with comfort and energy efficiency in mind.

While you can choose to insulate the roof and floor during construction, we recommend models with 44 mm thick timber walls and double-glazed doors and windows for natural insulation. These features help maintain a stable temperature year-round. For those seeking insulated garden offices, additional roof and floor insulation can easily be added during installation.

Can I customize my garden office building?

Our garden offices allow for practical adjustments to suit your needs. Additional windows and doors can be installed to enhance natural light and ventilation.

For roofing, choose between standard felt or premium EPDM for a modern flat roof design with enhanced weatherproofing.

Some cabins also include the option to add a roof overhang or a terrace, extending the outdoor space and making it a versatile area for relaxation or gatherings.

Are Palmako garden offices easy to assemble?

Yes, our garden offices are designed for straightforward assembly. They come with pre-cut timber, all necessary hardware, and detailed instructions. Professional installation services are also available if preferred.

Do garden offices require planning permission?

In many cases, planning permission is not required if the garden building falls within certain size and height limits. However, regulations can vary depending on your location, so it’s best to check with your local council.

Who are the main garden office suppliers in the UK?

The UK has several reputable garden office suppliers, including Palmako, a long-established European manufacturer known for high-quality timber garden buildings. Palmako stands out for its precision-engineered Nordic spruce, eco-friendly production, and comprehensive UK delivery and support.

How much value does a garden office add to a home?

A well-built garden office can add 5–10% to a property’s value, depending on quality, size, and location. Palmako’s timber garden offices, with their durable construction and timeless Scandinavian design, are considered desirable outdoor workspaces that enhance both lifestyle and resale appeal.

Are Palmako Garden Offices known for their quality?

Yes. Customers consistently describe Palmako’s garden offices as sturdy, well-crafted, and beautifully finished. Each structure is made from dense Nordic spruce logs for strength and stability, combined with double-glazed windows, secure doors, and weather-resistant roof options, all backed by Palmako’s five-year warranty and free mainland UK delivery.

What type of base is suitable for a garden office?

A firm, level base is essential for a stable and long-lasting installation. Most customers choose a concrete slab, paving slabs, or a timber frame base. Ensuring a well-drained, even surface helps prevent movement, improves insulation, and extends the life of your building.

How can I maintain my garden office?

For longevity and appearance, treat your building shortly after installation with a high-quality wood preservative or stain. Reapply as recommended by the manufacturer, usually every few years. Regularly check the roof covering, gutters, and drainage to protect against moisture and ensure continued durability.

Can I install electrics or internet in my garden office?

Yes. Many Palmako garden offices can accommodate an electricity supply, lighting, and broadband connections. All electrical work should be carried out by a qualified electrician to ensure compliance with UK safety regulations, making your home office safe and fully functional.

How is delivery handled in the UK?

Palmako offers free mainland UK delivery on all garden offices. Most deliveries take around 4–6 weeks, depending on stock levels and seasonal demand. Items in their Express Delivery range may arrive sooner. Remote postcodes may incur a small surcharge.

Are Palmako garden offices suitable for remote workers?

Yes. Palmako garden offices are ideal for remote workers who want to improve their work-life balance by creating a comfortable workspace away from household noise. Each building’s modern design combines practicality and style, offering a quiet, professional environment that helps separate home life from work while staying connected to nature.

Do Palmako garden offices include models with two separate rooms?

Some larger Palmako models feature two separate rooms, making them ideal for combining work and leisure in one building, for example, using one area as a home office and the other for storage, hobbies, or meetings. These designs provide flexible office space and excellent functionality for growing businesses or busy households.
