Testimonials

Just a brief note to say how delighted I am with the Melanie (9.6 sqm) Log Cabin I bought from you. Your service and price were superb and Greg and Craig came at 9am on Tuesday and worked right through until 8pm to build it.

They did an excellent job and did not stop all day. Greg advised that I should paint the door and windows a different colour as otherwise the green painted log cabin would be ‘lost’ in the garden and I took their advice. I used two different colours of Butinox No. 3 and the result is absolutely incredible. Many thanks once again. One hugely satisfied customer.

The delivery lorry arrived about eleven o’clock and the driver duly unloaded two very large packages. At eleven thirty my neighbour and I began to investigate these well protected packages.

Just after three o’clock that afternoon, two self satisfied men were enjoying a well deserved beverage whilst admiring the 4.5 by 3.5 meter cabin which was now completed up to roof purling level.

The construction of the cabin was so logical and easy, just like assembling ‘Lego blocks’ only heavier.

We absolutely love our Summer House – we can seat 16 people inside it, it stays warm long after the sun has gone down and it is particularly special as we run a B&B, so we can escape into it, invite all our friends to parties in it and now, we have installed electricity so can have lighting, heat and music as and when needed. It also provides a really big area to store all our garden furniture during the winter months.

We would absolutely recommend you to anyone considering buying one. Many thanks.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between a gazebo and a pavilion?

A gazebo is typically an open-sided structure with a roof, perfect for providing shade and shelter while maintaining a connection to your garden. A pavilion typically features partial or full walls, doors, and windows, offering greater weather protection and a more enclosed space for dining, relaxing, or entertaining. Both are designed to help you unwind in comfort, whether you’re reading, hosting, or simply enjoying nature.

How long will a Palmako gazebo or pavilion last?

Palmako structures are built from durable material—dense, kiln-dried Nordic spruce—engineered to stand the test of time. Thanks to the wood’s natural durability and careful construction, your gazebo or pavilion can remain strong and beautiful for decades. To keep it in top condition, we recommend routine maintenance, including applying wood preservative to protect against moisture and UV exposure.

How difficult is assembly? Do I need specialist tools?

Most customers find installation straightforward. Your gazebo or pavilion arrives as a pre-cut kit with all fixings and clear instructions. Basic tools are usually all that’s required, as well as a minimum of two people. If you prefer, we can arrange professional assembly.

Can you install the gazebo or pavilion for me?

Yes. While all Palmako products come as DIY-friendly kits with clear instructions, we also offer optional professional installation services. Just let us know if you’d like a quote for assembly.

Do I need a concrete base for my gazebo or pavilion?

Not necessarily. A concrete base offers excellent stability and weather protection, but strong, level wooden decking is also suitable, especially for smaller or medium-sized models. The key is a flat, durable foundation that can safely accommodate the structure. A solid base ensures proper alignment, reduces long-term movement, and protects the timber from moisture damage. We’d be happy to advise you on the best base for your gazebo or pavilion of choice.

Is the wood pre-treated, or do I need to treat it myself?

Our timber is kiln-dried and quality-graded but not pre-treated. To protect your structure from moisture, UV rays, and fungi, you should apply a wood preservative or exterior paint soon after assembly. This is part of standard maintenance and helps retain natural beauty through all elements and seasons.

Will I need planning permission for a Pavilion or Gazebo?

Most Palmako gazebos and pavilions are under 2.5m high and do not usually require planning permission for private gardens. However, requirements vary depending on location and conservation status, so it’s always best to check with your local council.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes, our luxury gazebos and pavilions come with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. This offers peace of mind and reflects the confidence we have in the quality and durability of our structures.

How long does delivery take, and what is the handling process?

Delivery usually takes 2–4 weeks. Your order will arrive on a large vehicle equipped with a crane for safe off-loading to your property. We'll confirm a delivery date in advance so you can prepare your site, including your deck, concrete base, or foundation area.

Can I customise my gazebo or pavilion?

Absolutely. Many models in our range can be adapted with thicker walls, different shapes (such as rectangular or hexagonal), extra windows, or wider doors to better accommodate your needs, whether that’s outdoor dining, a home office, or a play space for the kids. If you have a specific vision, our team can advise on bespoke options.

Do you offer seasonal promotions or discounts?

Yes. Be sure to visit our website or contact our team to explore the latest offers and current items on sale. We’re here to help you find your dream garden building at the best value.
