Testimonials

Just a brief note to say how delighted I am with the Melanie (9.6 sqm) Log Cabin I bought from you. Your service and price were superb and Greg and Craig came at 9am on Tuesday and worked right through until 8pm to build it.

They did an excellent job and did not stop all day. Greg advised that I should paint the door and windows a different colour as otherwise the green painted log cabin would be ‘lost’ in the garden and I took their advice. I used two different colours of Butinox No. 3 and the result is absolutely incredible. Many thanks once again. One hugely satisfied customer.

The delivery lorry arrived about eleven o’clock and the driver duly unloaded two very large packages. At eleven thirty my neighbour and I began to investigate these well protected packages.

Just after three o’clock that afternoon, two self satisfied men were enjoying a well deserved beverage whilst admiring the 4.5 by 3.5 meter cabin which was now completed up to roof purling level.

The construction of the cabin was so logical and easy, just like assembling ‘Lego blocks’ only heavier.

We absolutely love our Summer House – we can seat 16 people inside it, it stays warm long after the sun has gone down and it is particularly special as we run a B&B, so we can escape into it, invite all our friends to parties in it and now, we have installed electricity so can have lighting, heat and music as and when needed. It also provides a really big area to store all our garden furniture during the winter months.

We would absolutely recommend you to anyone considering buying one. Many thanks.

Frequently asked questions

1. What is a wood-fired hot tub, and how does it work?

A wood-fired hot tub uses an integrated heater or external stove to warm the water as the fire burns, circulating heat through the tub. This creates a simple, natural way to heat water without relying on modern systems, making it suitable for outdoor and off-grid use.

2. How is a wood-fired hot tub different from an electric hot tub?

The main difference is the heating method. A wood-fired hot tub uses firewood, while an electric model relies on an electric heater. Wood-heated tubs tend to be less dependent on power sources, while electric options offer automated temperature control. Both can be efficient in different ways, depending on how they are used and maintained.

3. How long does it take to heat a wood-fired hot tub?

The heating time typically ranges from 1.5 to 3 hours. Before lighting the fire, the tub should always be filled with water to the recommended level. Heating times can vary depending on the size of the tub, the starting water temperature, and the type of wood used. Using dry, seasoned wood helps achieve more consistent and efficient heating.

4. Do wood-fired hot tubs require electricity?

No, a wood-fired hot tub does not require electricity to operate. The water is heated entirely using firewood, making it a practical option for outdoor use or locations without a reliable power supply.

5. Where can a wood-fired hot tub be installed?

A wood-fired hot tub can be installed in a range of settings, provided there is a stable, level base. It is well-suited to gardens, patios, and other outdoor spaces, as well as cabins or holiday properties.

When choosing a location, it is important to allow for proper ventilation, safe clearance around the heater and chimney, and suitable distance from nearby buildings or structures. Local regulations may vary, so we recommend checking any installation requirements before setup.

6. Can a wood-fired hot tub be used all year round?

Yes, a wood-fired hot tub can be used year-round. The heating system allows the water to reach a comfortable temperature even in colder months, while the materials are designed to handle changing conditions, including exposure to moisture.

7. How do you maintain a wood-fired hot tub?

Ongoing care is straightforward and helps keep the tub in good condition. This includes keeping the water clean, ensuring it is properly drained when needed, and regularly checking the heater. After use, it’s important to remove ash from the burner to maintain performance, as built-up ash can affect how efficiently the system operates.

8. Do wood-fired hot tubs need chemicals?

Water care can be kept simple, depending on how often the tub is used. Some people choose to use basic treatments to help maintain water quality, while others prefer to refresh the water more regularly. Keeping the water clean and suitable for the body is the main priority, whether using chemicals or not.

10. Are flexible payment options available?

Yes, flexible payment options are available. You can choose to pay in 3 interest-free instalments on purchases between £20 and £3,000 using PayPal, making it easier to spread the cost over time.

11. How are wood-fired hot tubs delivered?

Wood-fired hot tubs are typically delivered preassembled, making installation more straightforward. The chimney is supplied separately and will need to be fitted during setup. Delivery times can vary depending on availability and current stock levels, but most orders are dispatched within a few weeks. Due to the overall weight of the tub, deliveries are carried out using suitable handling equipment to ensure safe placement.

12. Do wood-fired hot tubs require assembly?

Most wood-fired hot tubs are designed to keep setup simple. They are delivered pre-built and tilted onto their side for transport. Once placed on a suitable base, the chimney parts can be removed from underneath the tub and attached before use. This means there is no complex assembly required before enjoying your hot tub.
